The French Revolution
- For betraying the country and trying to flee, King Louis was punished; he was beheaded for it.
- The form of government in France changed into Republic, but the country struggled to return to its original state; because there were so many wars during the revolution, a great amount of money was used for weapons and reconstructions, which caused a financial crisis. However, eventually, time passed and France was able to get back on its feet.
The Tunisian Revolution
- Eventually, after a series of violent fighting events in the revolution, President Ben Ali finally abdicated his presidency. Tunisia’s prime minister Mohamed Ghannouchi took over his place.
- Ben Ali fled with his family to Saudi Arabia, but eventually got sentenced to jail.
- Tunisia adapted democracy. As of now, the country is developing; there is now social equality due to the new constitution, and because of that, every citizen has an equal amount of rights and freedom.

- Government Overthrown: The two revolutions both ended when the president or ruler got successfully replaced by a new form of government.
Difference:
- The Punishment for the Former President/King: The French revolutionaries executed King Louis XVI by beheading him, while the former Tunisian President Ben Ali got sent to jail.
